Strawberry Lemonade

It is getting hot here in bay area. I had some friends coming over for a get-together after 3 long years, and what better way to reminisce than having a chilling drink in your hand and couple of snacks. We girls can talk endlessly with/without anyways :D.

It is super simple to make and refreshing to get your body de-stressed. You can save it for 3-4 days and enjoy it morning or evening :)

Ingredients:

15 strawberries
3 lemons medium sized
9-10 mint leaves
1 1/2 cup sugar
6 cups water

Recipe:

1. Cut strawberry tops off and grind them.
2. Add sugar in 2 cups water and dissolve it over low heat. As soon as it is half dissolved switch off the flame and let it come to room temperature. While it is coming to room temperature rest of the sugar will get dissolved. (you can dissolve the sugar without heating it, but it takes more time and I am a little impatient if I am making this :D)
3. Take a large pitcher, add strawberries while straining it, in order to avoid any seed to get into the drink.
4. Add sugar-water mixture, rest of the water.
5. Add juice from 2 lemons, and add slices of third lemon.
6. Now crush mint leaves and add them to the pitcher.
7. Let the mixture cool down a little bit in the refrigerator and enjoy the refreshing drink.
